Andreea Coca, MD, MPH, is a top rheumatologist who lends her skills and expertise to serve patients as Medical Director of the UPMC Lupus Center of Excellence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Andreea Coca, MD, MPH, is a 1999-graduate of the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania. Her postgraduate training includes her internal medicine residency served at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (2004-2007), as well as her rheumatology fellowship performed at University of Rochester School of Medicine/Strong Memorial Hospital (2007-2009). A Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Coca attained board certification in internal medicine and rheumatology with the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her research interests include the epidemiology of rheumatic diseases, outcome research, and quality improvement projects. In addition, she loves to be able to provide patients with access to cutting-edge advancements in rheumatology by enrolling them in clinical trials for Sjogren’s syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Dr. Coca also collaborates diligently with uveitis specialists to establish a database and an inception cohort of uveitis and inflammatory eye disease patients.
